Whip Antenna

This dual-band flexible whip antenna cover the amateur radio 2 meter and 70 cm bands (140 & 440MHz), including the frequencies used by all Altus Metrum products.  The SMA connector mates with the antenna connector on TeleDongle and the SMA connector option on TeleMetrum.

Overall length is approximately 7.5 inches, and the whip portion is roughly 1/8 inch in diameter.  The whip is highly flexible, it can be bent into a circle and will spring back into position when released.

The performance of this antenna is similar to the default wire antenna on TeleMetrum.  This antenna is a great choice for use with TeleDongle during ground testing, and can even be used to receive in-flight telemetry from model and mid-power rockets flying to modest altitude.
